Morning: After
breakfast, we will start each day around 9:00 a.m. with a somewhat structured “classroom” setting. You will be
exploring more of yourself to understand God's vision for your life. We will teach until lunch, around noon. Don't worry, we'll take breaks!
Afternoon: To drive home the teaching, you will engage in an afternoon experiential activity. These activities will
be tough! This is so you process what you learned through physically engage in a strenuous activity. These will start after lunch and vary in length and focus.
Evening: Debrief,
debrief, debrief. After dinner around 6:00 p.m., the evenings will be the time to make sense of what happened
throughout the day. We will help you unpack all
that is going on inside of you! We will be "officially" done most nights around 8:00 p.m. so you can get plenty of sleep!
Day One: Framing the Conversation. You will learn about the Incarnational Missional way of living, influencing, and leading. You will see how presence, proximity to others, powerlessness, and proclamation all work together to lead and influence others.
Day Two: Character matters. Anyone who leads others needs to take a good look at their character and ask themselves: “What am I modeling in my character/how am I influencing others with my character?” The Character Matrix will help us examine our character on day two.
Day Three: Strengths we bring. Leading or influencing is most organic when done from our strengths. Do you know what strengths you have? The Clifton Strengths Finder will help you identify what your dominant strengths are.
Day Four: Interacting with Others. If you are leading, you are interacting with others. Questions you need to wonder about are: How am I interacting? Why am I interacting this way? The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator will help us talk about how we are wired and how we then interact with others.
Day Five: Best fit for leading. Practically speaking, where are you best fit to lead or influence others? APEST is a tool that will help to identify where you are gifted to lead so you can choose opportunities that “fit” you instead of just doing whatever is asked. We want to empower you to lead where you were meant to lead.
